An Update

I'm so lame. It has been forever since I posted and all I can come up with for a title is "An Update." Lame, really lame! I did replace my sewing machine. He just wouldn't behave, so it was time for us to part ways. He is still in my house, just not being used. …

Life Sure Moves Quickly When You’re Tired

I know I have not updated very much since moving back East. Sorry about that. Life is crazy and hectic. I am doing all I can to maintain my real life relationships. Sorry to say my virtual relationships have suffered. A girl has to have priorities, right? As a mother, I am tired. My children …

How is that move going?

Well, it is going fine. Let me tell you, it is difficult to continue running your house while adding the unpacking bit to the mix. I am not completely unpacked yet. Oh well. My kids are happy, so I guess I'm getting the important stuff done. I do not currently have internet access. Terrible, I …

Goodbye To The Parsonage

I guess it is time to let the proverbial cat out of the bag. The Pastor and I are moving back east. We have very much enjoyed our time here at Salem. We knew it wasn't forever when we came here but we had not anticipated what exactly God would do. Our lovely little family …

This Easter With My Kids

The season of Lent is over. I must say, it was difficult for me to uphold my commitment for Lent, but I did it and I am happy that I did. I enjoyed Easter with my kids this year. We did not have Easter Egg Hunts at the church or extravagant Easter parties this year, …

I was watering the garden this afternoon when I hear, “Hello?! Helloooo!” I walk around the side of the house and see Pippin (7) is stuck in the chicken coop. He sees me and grins. Then it occurs to him he could open the latch using a stick, so he frees himself. He was stuck for five minutes and only realized he could get out when help came. 😂 #backyardchickens #homeschoolscience
Rapunzel (Buff Laced Polish Chick) is not amused. She is definitely judging you. #chicksofinstagram #polishchicken #judgychicken
A recipe kids love: Super Summer Pasta 😋 -Pasta (enough to feed your family— for us that is 2 lbs.) The more fun the shape, the more they’ll love it. Mine like corkscrews, shells, or orecchiette. -Sautee veggies in olive oil. I usually do garlic and red onions. Then whatever else is fresh or on sale. Tomatoes and asparagus are shown, but I’ve also done Brussels sprouts, broccoli, broccolini, spinach, and zucchini. I just pick a couple veggies and roll with it. - pine nuts -salt and pepper to taste. Once the pasta is cooked, mix it with the veggies, pine nuts, and olive oil in a baking dish. Top with fresh mozzarella cheese and broil until the cheese and browned and melted. That’s it. Super easy. Pine nuts are a good source of potassium and protein. Plus all the good stuff in the veggies. My kids love it (and act like I cooked the fanciest dinner ever). #recipe #cookingforkids #largefamilycooking
Hanging out on the porch with Sue Ellen (23 months) eating a popsicle while @adam_godbold , Pippin (7), and Daisy (4) fix the mail box. #pregnant #momlife #summerofunlimitedpopsicles #dressedindivas
They hated the water slide as a slide. They love it as a bench. 🤷🏻‍♀️
