2012 Reading

You may remember that my reading goal for 2012 was to read 52 books. I also made a list of the 25 books I wanted to make sure I read this year. I'm gonna tell you, I did reach my ultimate goal (well, passed it) but I did not get around to all 25 books. …

Raising Our Children, Raising Ourselves- A Review

Raising Our Children, Raising Ourselves by Naomi Aldort I read many parenting books. It isn't necessarily in hopes of solving some problem, as much as it is an attempt to better myself as a parent. Imogene (16) finally decided it was time to go get her driving permit. She hasn’t been very interested. But with Aidan (14) coming up on his 15th birthday at the end of the summer, I think she needed to be “first” as is her right by her older sibling status. So now our first baby can drive. Will she? Who knows. But she CAN on paper.
Went and got dinner from the food trucks this evening. The kids were all about it and tried every truck except one (sorry falafel truck— maybe I can convince them next time). They had tacos, street corn, bratwurst, hot dogs, fries, shrimp, hush puppies, cole slaw, Mac and cheese, sangria soda, cokes, two different kinds of fancy lemonade, shaved ice, popsicles, and ice cream. 😳 As a pregnant lady, the street corn and peach lemonade were the best. 🤰🏻
