Godbold Academy: Medieval Logic Plans

The logic stage is about fifth to eighth grade. These students are largely independent, though I do try to pick a subject each year to do with them just to connect with them a little more. For Bible, all my kids who can read use the SOAP method of Bible study to do their own …

Godbold Academy 2020-2021: Logic Stage Plans

The logic stage in homeschooling lasts from about fifth or sixth grade through eighth grade, depending on the child. This is what we'd all typically call "middle school". The logic stage is a bump up in difficulty, and I expect my logic aged children to be pretty much independent. I do not read the scheduled …

Sixth Grade Curriculum 17/18

These two are doing most of their work outside of the Morning Basket time on their own. They are much more capable of getting things done without my help these day. I write their work to be done in their planners and they check it off as they go. They have weekly and daily assignments …

Little baby clothes (and hats) washed and put away to await the littlest lady’s arrival! Slowly tackling the to-do list of things needed to be done before she’s born. Somehow we’re down to single digit weeks. I’m guessing 3-4 weeks. Realistically, it could be 2-6 weeks.

Imogene (16) finally decided it was time to go get her driving permit. She hasn’t been very interested. But with Aidan (14) coming up on his 15th birthday at the end of the summer, I think she needed to be “first” as is her right by her older sibling status. So now our first baby can drive. Will she? Who knows. But she CAN on paper.
Went and got dinner from the food trucks this evening. The kids were all about it and tried every truck except one (sorry falafel truck— maybe I can convince them next time). They had tacos, street corn, bratwurst, hot dogs, fries, shrimp, hush puppies, cole slaw, Mac and cheese, sangria soda, cokes, two different kinds of fancy lemonade, shaved ice, popsicles, and ice cream. 😳 As a pregnant lady, the street corn and peach lemonade were the best. 🤰🏻
